A trial judge had correctly exercised his discretion when refusing to discharge a juror who was a member of the Metropolitan police in a trial in which Metropolitan police officers gave crucial evidence. The trial involved a conflict as to the officers' accuracy rather than their truthfulness; in any event, the accused had applied for the juror's discharge too late.
