SURVIVING THE WILD WEST: ADVOCACY IN THE MAGISTRATES’ COURT WEBINAR

28TH MARCH AT 5:30PM

Join barristers Sarah Fairbairn and Alexa Le Moine for a webinar addressing advocacy in the Magistrates’ Court. This webinar will provide guidance on how to deliver a persuasive Plea in Mitigation, Bail Application and Closing Speech. It will also address some dos and don’ts for Examination in Chief and Cross Examination, as well as thinking on your feet as you encounter some of the wilder elements of the Wild West! There will be an opportunity for Q&A at the end.

Sarah Fairbairn is a barrister practising in all areas of criminal law, with a particular focus on criminal defence. She has developed a busy Crown Court practice, spanning a wide range of offences including murder, rape and large-scale drug supply offences.

Alexa Le Moine is a criminal barrister who accepts instructions to prosecute and defend in a wide range of cases from violent and sexual offences to those related to the supply and possession of drugs and dishonesty. Alexa also has an active practice in family law.

The Webinar will be on Zoom at 5:30pm on Tuesday 28th March 2023.
