[2010] EWCA Crim 313
A defendant did not have a fair trial where the judge had intervened on several occasions with the effect of diminishing the defendant's evidence in the eyes of the jury and had expressed personal opinions in the absence of the jury which he then reinforced during the evidence, partly in the form of leading questions and partly in the form of comment.
