[2004] EWCA Civ 1800

Under the Criminal Justice Act 1988 s.83(1) a defendant was required to satisfy the court that his realisable assets had been inadequate to meet the value of the confiscation order. The appellant had failed to show that he had been entitled to a certificate of inadequacy.
