[2013] EWCA Crim 1484

A custodial sentence of four years and nine months imposed following guilty pleas to offences of persistently breaching two restraining orders over a period of eight years was manifestly excessive. Some of the breaches had been committed whilst the offender was on bail and subject to a suspended sentence order, and one of the breaches involved the making of threats to kill. The appropriate sentence was three-and-a-half years' imprisonment.
