[2013] EWCA Crim 436
A judge's direction, given in a dangerous driving trial, contained an error of law as it had failed to inform the jury that it could conclude that a taxi driver had acted to prevent crime, namely the offence of making off without payment, when he had driven onto a pavement and injured a passenger. The jury should have been directed to focus on what the driver honestly believed the facts to be.
