[2002] EWHC 1738 (Admin)

Where a prisoner has previously been properly admitted to a protected witness unit it was incumbent upon the prison service to satisfy itself that the risk to his life was no longer such as to require admission. There had to be a real and immediate risk to life, and immediacy required that the risk was both present and continuing.
