Justice not being seen to be done

Are "secret lawyers" an important safeguard for vulnerable detainees - or an unnecessary interference with their human rights? This is the question posed in a new report by Justice, the law reform and human rights organisation.

What is clear beyond doubt is that there has been a huge expansion in the use of secret lawyers since Labour came to power in 1997.
