[2009] EWCA Crim 1683

A total sentence of three years' imprisonment imposed following the offender's guilty pleas to offences under the Firearms Act 1968 which carried statutory minimum sentences of five years was unduly lenient where the judge had erred in concluding that exceptional circumstances existed justifying the displacement of the minimum term.
