Real crims getting away

Police are failing to tackle serious crime - and concentrating on motoring offences instead, startling figures revealed yesterday.

In the new league table of 43 police forces across the country nearly two-thirds achieved "good" or "excellent" grades in "roads policing."
But only ten forces were rated good at dealing with serious criminals, such as drug gangs -- and no force was rated excellent.
