[2007] EWCA Crim 1289

Where an offender had committed various offences in a five-year campaign of domestic violence, he could not be sentenced to imprisonment for public protection if the only serious offence might have been committed before April 4, 2005, when the Criminal Justice Act 2003 s.225 came into effect.
