Although a judge had wrongfully admitted general evidence based on a recollection of events that had taken place approximately four or five years earlier, his summing up and directions to the jury in relation to the bad character evidence admitted and the strong evidence of eyewitnesses meant that a conviction for death by dangerous driving was not unsafe.
