A sentence of three months' imprisonment was appropriate for an offender convicted on two counts of having an offensive weapon contrary to s.1(1) Prevention of Crime Act 1953 where he had used two weapons to perform appropriate martial arts exercises in a non-hostile fashion but had refused to comply with any form of community penalty.
