There was no general principle that the imposition of consecutive sentences in respect of possession of firearms offences and possession of ammunition offences was wrong in principle; whether sentences were to be concurrent or consecutive was a matter for the judge, provided that the overall term imposed fairly reflected the totality of the offending.
