Pubs, clubs and takeaways in Stockton have paid for extra police officers to work weekend night shifts.

Under Operation Tranquillity an additional sergeant and four officers have been drafted in to support late-night town-centre venues.
In Yarm there will be two extra police officers and a further two drafted in to work with the Tall Trees nightclub.
The establishments involved pay a charge based on their size, how busy they are and what time they shut.
