[2008] EWCA Civ 1588

A judge had been entitled to find that a police officer's decision to release a police dog to pursue the appellant and effect or assist a lawful arrest had been reasonable, given the appellant's conduct, and therefore lawful pursuant to the Criminal Law Act 1967 s.3(1) despite the appellant thereby sustaining serious bite injuries.
