The test for whether a vehicle was "used for ambulance purposes" under the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986 reg.37(5) was whether the vehicle was used for conveying the sick, the injured or the disabled. That was a question of fact or degree to be decided on the evidence in each case.
