More than 800 people have been arrested during the first week of a police drive to tackle violent crime and robbery in the West Midlands.

Operation Strikeout is a month-long campaign which was launched at the beginning of September.
Assistant Chief Constable Stuart Hyde said crime in the area had dropped by 12% since the campaign began compared to the same time last year.
