Where a judge had ruled under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 s.76(2) that evidence of an alleged confession had not been obtained by oppression or other improper means and had allowed it to be given in evidence, he was required to direct the jury that they must disregard it if they concluded that the alleged confession might have been so obtained.
