The extradition of an offender who had been convicted in Poland in his absence of two burglary offences was not oppressive by reason of the passage of time under the Extradition Act 2003 s.14(b) in circumstances where the offender had fled the country, deliberately absented himself from his trial and, as a fugitive from justice, was primarily the author of the delay.
