Matrix Chambers barrister Ben Emmerson QC is reported to be among the three candidates shortlisted to become the next UK judge at the European Court of Human Rights. The others are barrister Raquel Agnello and former registrar at the court Paul Mahoney. The post becomes vacant later this year when Sir Nicolas Bratza steps down.
