[2007] EWCA Crim 1636
Although a judge had provided an adequate direction concerning the use a jury could make of guilty pleas entered by two co-defendants, the conviction was unsafe in circumstances where there was a danger that the jury had been over-influenced by those guilty pleas and had come to the conclusion that mere association was sufficient to reach a finding of guilt.
