[2001] EWCA Crim 1240

Sentences of ten years' imprisonment for three offences of rape and three years' imprisonment for eight offences of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and harassment should have been ordered to run concurrently where the appellant was a young man with psychiatric problems who had not received a custodial sentence in the past even though the offences were all committed on the same victim over an extended period of time.
