In an application for permission to appeal against conviction and sentence for offences of possession of a cannabis bush with intent to supply, possession of cannabis, possession of cannabis resin with intent to supply and possession of a prohibited weapon, the judge correctly directed the jury on the law relating to Code B:5.4 and s.16 Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 and did not fail to have regard to relevant matters or to omit irrelevant matters. It was impossible to contend that the rulings which the judge passed were even arguably open to criticism and accordingly the applications were refused.
