Sentences of six-and-a-half years' detention were appropriate in the case of two young offenders who had pleaded guilty to false imprisonment after entering the flat of a lady with learning disabilities and subjecting her to a six-hour ordeal during which she was tied to a chair, subjected to verbal abuse and continually threatened with violence.
