[2008] EWCA Crim 2511

The court drew attention to the guidance in R. v Underwood (Kevin John) [2004] EWCA Crim 2256, [2005] 1 Cr. App. R. 13, given that there had been some recent cases in which undue reliance had been placed on an unsigned basis of plea. Too many practitioners had either forgotten the guidance or had chosen to ignore it.
