The statement of principle in R. v Anwoir (Ilham) [2008] EWCA Crim 1354, [2009] 1 W.L.R. 980 should be followed when deciding, in relation to offences of money laundering, whether property had derived from crime. When reaching their decision, the jury should look at the circumstances in which the property had been handled.
