R (on the application of ROYAL SOCIETY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS) v CHESTER CROWN COURT (2006)

A court had no jurisdiction under the Protection of Animals (Amendment) Act 1954 to impose a restriction upon the number of animals that a person was entitled to have in his custody. Where a disqualification order was made under the Act the only discretion was as to its length and the kind of animals that it covered.
