[2011] EWHC 1550 (Admin)

A court had been correct to hold that a police officer had reasonable grounds to suspect that an offence had been or was about to be committed under the Public Order Act 1986 s.5. Therefore the defendant's arrest and his subsequent conviction for assaulting a police officer in the execution of his duty contrary to the Police Act 1996 s.89 were lawful.
