Even though fingerprint evidence had been obtained using a device which was yet to be approved by the Secretary of State as required under the Police and Criminal Evidence (Northern Ireland) Order 1989 art.61(8B) it was not inadmissible as a matter of law by reason of the manner in which it was obtained.
