A sentence of four years and eight months' imprisonment, with a period of disqualification of seven years, for two counts of causing death by dangerous driving and driving whilst disqualified was unduly lenient. The offences of causing death by dangerous driving fell within the highest level of seriousness under the definitive sentencing guideline on causing death by driving, and the appropriate sentence, having regard to the aggravating and mitigating features, was seven-and-a-half years.
