Why judicial review needs protection from our politicians

Two weeks ago Chris Grayling, the Secretary of State for Justice, published the latest in a series of unjust proposals that will, if enacted, do serious damage to our legal system. Clause 50 of the Criminal Justice and Courts Bill has the purpose and effect of restricting judicial review, one of the cornerstones of the rule of law. The proposals should alarm all those concerned to promote high standards of government.
