Statistics for time intervals for cases in the magistrates' courts released

The average time interval from offence to completion was 147 16 Youth defendants days for defendants in all criminal cases, compared to 145 days in September 2005.

The average time between offence and completion for indictable cases increased from 121 days in September 2005 to 130 days in September 2006.

Compared to September 2005, the average time between offence and completion decreased for summary motoring offences (from 161 to 157 days), and increased for summary non-motoring offences (from 140 to 144 days).

Compared to September 2005, the average time from offence to completion for youth defendants increased for both indictable offences (95 to 100 days) and summary non-motoring offences (87 to 88 days), whilst for summary motoring offences it decreased (102 to 100 days).
