Assets acquired from the proceeds of gambling using tainted stake money the product of criminal activity amounted to recoverable property for the purposes of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 s.304. Residential property held in the name of a third party did not fall within the exceptions to recoverability under s.308 where it had been purchased through funds which had come directly from the bookmakers so that no disposal in good faith for value had occurred.
