Seized cash for cops

Charles Clarke will today announce plans for law enforcement agencies to keep half of any money or assets seized from criminals to use in the fight against crime.

The Home Secretary revealed an average £1million-a-week is now being confiscated.
And in the last two years villains have been forced to hand over more than £120million in cash, homes, cars, TVs or music systems. Mr Clarke, talking exclusively to the Mirror, said: "Making criminals pay for their crimes is an important part of seeing justice done.
