A district judge was entitled to convict an offender, who was arrested on the day of a protest march against the Government's proposals to increase tuition fees, of aggravated trespass contrary to the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 s.68 and to conclude that by entering or remaining in a building at a time when significant damage was being or had been caused to the premises, the offender had committed a distinct or overt act beyond the trespass itself.
