A compensation order made against an offender who had injured a victim by driving without due care and attention was quashed because the requirements of the Powers of Criminal Courts (Sentencing) Act 2000 s.130(6) had not been fulfilled, namely that the instant injury had not arisen from an offence under the Theft Act 1968, and the offender had not been uninsured.
