Prison CVP visiting times

HMP Thameside is going live with extended visiting hours from 01/12/20. They will offer official visits via video from 08:00-18:00 Monday to Friday (continuous with no break for lunch).

Please note Thameside is scheduled to open a VCC in January, so the number of end points available will increase offering even further capacity and therefore they may reassess the operating times based on whether the demand is still out weighing capacity.

Other London prisons offering additional hours include; Belmarsh 08:00-18:00, Feltham 08:00-17:00, High Down 08:00-18:00, Pentonville 08:00-18:00, Thameside 08:00-18:00, Wandsworth 08:30-17:00 (not an extension but included for completeness), Wormwood Scrubs 08:00-17:00 (break for lunch from 12:00-14:00).

All bookings are made as per current processes

Overnight remands from police stations

The NPCC is due to make a decision on 2nd December on whether, and for how long, police forces will continue to host overnight prisoners to appear at court via CVP.  We will update members with news once we are informed; this will have a significant impact on our working arrangements.
