An 11-year sentence for an offence of conspiracy to rob, where victims were targeted as they were approaching or leaving banks, was not manifestly excessive. The offender had previous convictions for robbery, and it was clear that the conspirators had been prepared to use such violence as was necessary to steal what they anticipated would be significant sums of money.
