A sentence of imprisonment for public protection with a minimum term of five years and three months coupled with a sexual offences prevention order (SOPO) imposed for sexual activity with a child was quashed and replaced with 58 months' imprisonment with an extended licence period of four years and a SOPO, where the judge had failed to give sufficient consideration to an extended sentence and apply the full discount for a guilty plea as indicated.
