In the circumstances, a driver charged with dangerous driving after he had deliberately brought another vehicle to a halt could not successfully argue that he was using reasonable force to prevent the other driver from committing the offence of failing to stop after an earlier accident. The distance involved was such that the other driver should have stopped long before he did, and the offence was therefore already complete by the time M brought him to a halt.
