[2007] EWCA Crim 764

Convictions for rape and various other sexual offences against two children were safe as the judge had clearly followed the Criminal Procedure Rules 2005 and had actively managed the trial when intervening during cross-examination and discussing with the defence the need to call witnesses; further the judge had clearly and correctly directed the jury.
