[2012] EWCA Crim 1377
In a serious case of bigamy where there had been a sustained and calculated betrayal of two women over a substantial period and the procurement of a void marriage by the production of a false decree absolute, the judge was correct in imposing a sentence of 12 months' imprisonment. A supervision requirement was deleted from the suspended sentence order and a compensation order was varied by the amount of compensation and the time for payment.
