[2013] EWCA Crim 815
A judge had not erred when sentencing a former Nigerian state governor for sophisticated offences of fraud and money laundering on a huge scale, by adopting an overall starting point of 24 years' imprisonment after pleas of guilty. The judge had not given a Goodyear indication and the offender had had no legitimate expectation of a starting point of 20 years' imprisonment.
