R v DAVID JAMES BURLAND (2013)

PUBLISHED March 19, 2013
SHARE

A juror's statement received after the jury had been discharged that she had not agreed with the unanimous guilty verdicts returned on 33 separate sexual offences did not render those convictions unsafe. The verdicts had been properly taken and nothing had occurred at the time to question the validity of the verdicts or to suggest there had been bad faith on behalf of the foreman or any other jury member.
