R v ANDREW MAY (2013)

PUBLISHED April 30, 2013

[2013] EWCA Crim 850

Serious cases that were related in time and nature were, where possible, to be dealt with together for sentencing. In the instant case, two robberies committed by the same offender three days apart ought, in the interests of totality, to have been sentenced together. The total of the two separate sentences was, however, almost exactly the same as the term which would have been imposed if the offender had been sentenced for both at the same time.
