[2007] EWHC 3212 (Admin)

The Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 s.37 applied to every occasion when a person under actual or deemed arrest was produced to a custody officer, and therefore it was lawful for a suspect, following his initial arrest and detention at a police station but prior to charge, to be granted police bail with conditions attached.
