A judge was entitled to consider that pressures on a court, in relation to its availability to hear a trial, occasioned through court closures and judicial vacancies were exceptional circumstances that amounted to a good and sufficient cause to extend a remand prisoner's custody time limits under the Prosecution of Offences Act 1985 s.22(3).
