QASA appeal bid

Barristers who had their legal challenge to the Quality Assurance Scheme for Advocates rejected by the High Court have sought permission to appeal from the Court of Appeal.

Earlier this month the High Court refused permission to appeal its decision, saying there was no reasonable prospect of success. Many barristers and solicitors have signalled their intention to boycott the scheme.
