Iranians takes banks to court over ‘sanctions misreading’

The challenges faced by financial services firms, including banks and insurers, when interpreting sanctions has been highlighted by recent news reports that a group of UK-based Iranian nationals have taken three high-street banks to court, alleging that they have been subject to racial discrimination as a consequence of the banks misreading of the sanctions regime against Iran.
